All my life, I've been very intrigued by theater and where it all started. I've always acted in plays and asked myself "How did simply making an act on a podium become such an exquisite and amazing thing?" Now that I'm learning about Greece and its origins, I was very excited to find out this was one of the subjects we would be going over. For my blog topic, I would like to research tragedy in Greek theater. I plan to get and share information on the costumes and masks that the elders wore, what some examples of tragedy in theater were, and why Greeks did these kinds of plays. All of the juicy details I find will be shared with all of you lovely people! (I'm sure you're an amazing person, even though I may not know you...) My main focus will be on tragedy, but I will branch out into other categories regarding theater along the way. I hope y ou can come on this roller coaster of a ride, journey with me!
This is one of the famous theater masks from ancient Greece.
