Hello readers of the world! Thanks for coming to my blog. This past week has been filled with lots of homework and anxiety I've had to deal with (really fun!) Yet I got through it courageously and with a single tear rolling down my face. Anyways, I'm back to tell you exactly why Greeks did the plays that they did. The real reasons behind it. You may think that the plays that Greeks did were just like todays films, unpractical, idiotic, and dare I say bland, but no! Theater in Greece had actual meaning and backstories. Tragedy/dramatic plays were mainly based on love, loss, the straining relationships between men and gods, and the meaning of life. Aristotle (the name of my cat) very much influenced the plots of these shows. His never ending curiosity inspired productions of wisdom and knowledge. Comedic plays went off of making fun of wealthy men in power. They later mutated to be written about ordinary people and became more like sitcoms. Well, I'll see you homies later. Thanks for reading! :)
This is a picture of the rituals they did in theater. As you can see, they are prancing around in a circle, praising their king Dionysus. This might be a little random, but I'm and independent girl and I do what I want!
